What is the best way to do this? How much would a 20x40 canvas, and what would be the timber for the cost?
I saw the play of the price and I am not prepared to spend a lot of money.

I saw quite cheap at Costco ..... A web site, but
especially if you're from Canada or the Northern State of the United States, one in his own backyard. the time to take a 1x12 set for small tables, clear the court's plan role of grass and there with the hose when it's cold.
Why Buy?
You can always look in the synthetic ice, which can be costly to the fore, but should not do it again, and every winter you can throughout the year. There is very little maintenance compared to an ice house.
